Diving on Grenada just got safer!

All Press Release | 2012-01-17 | Grenada & Carriacou | ScubaTech Dive Center

Since the end of December 2011 all dive masters of ScubaTech Dive Centre Grenada are equipped with the marine emergency system “Nautilus Lifeline”. The marine vhf radio with integrated GPS receiver features a DCS function and is rated to 130 m. It allows communication with your dive boat or any other vessel. If a diver gets lost at sea he can alert all vessels within a radius of 12 miles by pressing the DCS button. They then will see the diver’s GPS position on the display of their VHF and hear an alarm. ”Obviously nobody plans to get lost at sea but it happened that divers have never been found again. You can exclude a scenario like this if you have a Nautilus Lifeline. In 2006 we were the first to provide “Nitrox for free” on Grenada and today ScubaTech is spearheading safety again by equipping our dive masters with the Nautilus Lifeline”, says Jochen Lenz, Manager of ScubaTech.

Every diver who wants to have his own a Nautilus Lifeline can purchase it directly with ScubaTech.

ScubaTech Dive Center was founded in 2006 by Carsten Andres and Sabine & Jochen Lenz on the Caribbean island of Grenada, who can look back on 25 years of experience in recreational, technical and rebreather diving.
