Of course the BVIs have some of the best sailing opportunities to begin with, but there is also good variety of day sails, from snorkelling and lunch trips to a full-on sail across to Anegada and a party cruise on a large catamaran or a sunset cruise. Drinks and meals are generally included, and on day cruises there is usually the chance to snorkel or swim with turtles.

Day sailing in Tortola includes:

Kuralu, West End - Kuralu, a catamaran, has a number of itineraries that take guests to Sandy Spit and Jost Van Dyke or to Norman Island’s Caves or “The Indians” rock formations.

White Squall II, Village Cay Marina - A classic old wooden hulled sailing yacht, White Squall offers trips either to The Baths on Virgin Gorda or a sail to Norman Island.

Patouche Charters, Road Harbour - Both power and sail charters, to the islands in the chain and farther afield to Virgin Gorda. Sail charters are aboard a 48ft catamaran.
