Caribbean Art & Artisans
The beauty of the islands of Caribbean has both inspired its locals to paint, draw and sculpt, but it has also been a great draw for foreigners, many of whom have settled here and become part of the Caribbean arts scene. For some islands like Jamaica and Cuba, art has become an important means of social expression as well as decorative.
Crafts are another vibrant area across many islands using local materials such as straw and creating batik fabrics.
As well as galleries, some hotels are great supporters of local art. Some islands also have art fairs and exhibitions.
