Grenada & Carriacou / Special Interests / Corporate & Incentives

By James Henderson

Grenada is not the most obvious choice for a conference. It is relatively far away and the flight connections are not as good as some other islands in the region. That said, the island sees quite a bit of conference business from organisations within the Caribbean, so if you are set on the island then it is possible to make it work as a number of hotels offer a good range of meeting facilities.

Conference Venues

Hotels and resorts in Grenada with meeting facilities include:

Grenada Grand Beach Resort, Grande Anse - This has the island’s most comprehensive conference facilities with seven meeting rooms taking between 10 and 125 people theatre-style, plus its Crowne Ballroom which can accommodate 600 theatre-style. The hotel’s business centre is equipped with three computers with complimentary internet access, and a printer. Faxing and copying is available from the front desk.

Flamboyant Hotel, St George’s - The hotel has recently built fully-equipped conference rooms, the largest of which is 1,620 sq ft and takes 200 people theatre-style. It can also be split into two rooms of 810 sq ft, accommodating up to 100. There are two other rooms which can take up to 70 people theatre-style, while the hotel’s main restaurant can be used for banquets or cocktail parties.

Tropicana Inn, St George’s - This hotel has basic conference facilities with a conference room seating 60.

Some of Grenada’s smaller hotels, such as the Calabash, also make an ideal hideaway for a small group that needs to get away to brainstorm.
