Grenada & Carriacou / Special Interests / Spas & Wellbeing
Grenada is not that advanced in its spas, however a growing number of hotels have purpose-built spas. Spice Island Beach Resort has an excellent facility, Janissa's Spa, and will offer a day pass to outsiders. LaSource is one of the only resorts in the Caribbean that offers six spa treatments included in the price of a seven-night stay which also includes three free dives, tai chi, yoga, fitness schedule and full board. It has also introduced ScubaYoga with Pranayama yoga practiced before or after each dive.
At True Blue Bay on Grenada, yoga instructor Lisa Williams conducts yoga classes every Friday morning and experienced trainer, Susan La Touche offers Tae Bo workout and personal training throughout the week.
Other hotels with spas include Laluna and Calabash. If you’re not a hotel guest, you should book appointments in advance because guests take precedence over visitors.
Smaller hotels may have a dedicated massage room, or a massage therapist who can come to your room. Reflexology and Reiki are also available.
Carriacou
There are no formal spas on the island or on Petite Martinique, but it is possible to have a massage in your room. Try Beverly Penny, Carriacou, who is based in Hillsborough.
