For such a small island there are a host of arts and crafts here including fabrics, batik, wood carvings, pottery and photography as well as a the more conventional painting and drawing.

There are a few small galleries at restaurants and at the Botanical Garden. Here visitors can see the work of Eva Wilkin, born on Montserrat, she lived in Nevis most of her life and painted the Nevis she loved. Most noted for her colorful portraits of local children and villagers, she also worked in pen and ink sketching the scenery of Nevis. After her death in 1989, her work has become very sought after.

Margaret Fraser-Lives in Nevis and lovingly is known as the Grandma Moses of Nevis. Her paintings capture the scenes of Nevis with a charming simplicity. She also does Giclee Prints.

Judy Kovacsy - Judy is an artist from the US who lives in Nevis half the year. She has always found the Vervet monkeys in her garden fascinating and made them the subject of her art.

Other noteworthy Nevis artists include Marvin J. Chapman, a self-taught sculptor who creates handcrafted Lava Rocks known as Chapman’s Stone Art.  Rocks are handpicked from throughout the island and each work of art takes countless hours to craft.
