Nevis has some fabulous stretches of white sand beach and some lesser known stretches of black sand mostly on the south side of the island created by the erosion of volcanic rock.

Pinney’s Beach is its most famous white sand beach and the home to Four Seasons Resort Nevis, Nelson Spring Beach Resort, Pinney’s Beach Hotel, Sunshine’s Beach Bar and Double Deuce Beach Bar.

Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is situated on its own stretch of half-mile-long white sand beach that is protected by an off-shore reef. It’s a great place for sunbathing, swimming or strolling under the palms.
At the northern most tip of the island near Nisbet Plantation is Newcastle Beach which is popular with snorkellers. It’s also a good place to watch the planes take off from Nevis Airport.

Oualie Beach is the centre for watersports activities on the island – Scuba Safaris and Windsurf Nevis (which also rents mountain bikes) are located here. Children love this beach. There’s a lively beach bar and a restaurant, part of the small Oualie Beach hotel.

Chrishi Beach Club Restaurant and Lounge is on Cades Bay Beach which is good for swimming with its sandy bottom. There are great views of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Peak. The beach is just off the main road by the old Cades Bay Inn.

Lover’s Beach is very private and secluded and fine for couples and good swimmers but not recommended for small children as it gets a little rough.
