St Barthélemy / Special Interests / Hiking & Walking
Hiking is not really that big an activity in St Barths, though despite its small size, the island does have some spectacular country and there is always the tropical flora to admire along the way. The only recognised footpath is to Colombier in the northwest (really beach access), but it is possible to walk around some of the headlands in the east of the island. Some areas are surprisingly remote, so make sure to take plenty of water with you. One company offers guided hikes on about 15 paths (most of which have closed access because they are on private land).
Easy Time - Guided walking tours ranging from two to six hours in all areas of the island. Also tours of the island and visits to painters’ studios.
