St Eustatius / Special Interests / Sailing & Regattas
St Eustatius is not a major sailing destination although there are yacht moorings on the sheltered west coast of the island at Oranje Bay. Sailing regattas do take place occasionally - these are generally held over a weekend which starts in Simpson Bay in St Maarten. The yachts race to Saba, stay a night, then the next morning race again to St Eustatius. In November the Golden Rock Regatta is a five-day adventure sailing from St Martin to St Barths and then to St Eustatius where three up-and-down races are held before the return home.
