Despite its reputation as a romantic destination, St Lucia also caters well for solo travellers. Rodney Bay Village, the epicentre of tourism in the island, is extremely lively and an easy place to mix with the crowd and of course there are plenty of day sails and tours on which you can meet other visitors. Interestingly the BodyHoliday at LeSPORT is one of the few places in the whole of the Caribbean that has a conscious policy of catering for solo travellers. They have single rooms (at a reduced price) and facilities at the hotel to look after them, including tables for solo travellers and members of staff who will provide company at dinner. If you are happier on your own and want to be on a quiet retreat, then the smaller hotels and inns are extremely personable and will look after you well.
