St Martin/St Maarten / Special Interests / Spas & Wellbeing
With its stunning beaches, sea breezes and ample sunshine, St Martin/St Maarten is good news for both mind and body. And if you want to add in a reviving spa treatment, or just enjoy some indulgent me-time, there is a healthy choice of spas available. Many are linked to hotels, with those on the French side taking the whole business of pampering and beautification very seriously. If you want to save money, book a day sail to the nearby island of Tintamarre where many visitors use the local mud and sand to enrich and exfoliate their skin.
We recommend the following St Martin & St Maarten Spas:
St Martin
Clarins Skin Spa, Marigot - On the second floor of the West Indies Shopping Mall, this serene space is a handy stop if you've just got off a yacht or want to get spruced up before catching the ferry to St Barths. Closed Sunday.
Espace Zen, Anse Marcel - This quiet, homely spa is part of the hilltop Hotel Marquis, offering facials, massages and beauty treatments in a relaxed setting.
La Samanna Spa, Long Bay - A small, extremely professional spa in the island's premier luxury hotel. Treatments include Thai reflexology, ayurvedic massages and indulgent packages for men.
Yin Yang, Orient Beach - Had too much sun? Next to La Playa beach bar, this is a sweet, one-room spa offering beauty treatments and massages including shiatsu, reiki and hot stone.
St Maarten
All About You, Simpson Bay - A welcoming, one-room spa by the entrance to Mary Boon Beach Resort. Treatments include an “Instant Beach Babe!” package and others to beat stress and jet-lag.
Dior Spa, Cupecoy - Located in The Cliff condo resort at Cupecoy, this super-luxurious spa uses signature Dior products and also has a pool, sauna and steam room.
Good Life Spa, Maho - On the third floor of the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, this busy spa uses Decléor products and offers an extensive choice of body treatments.
Marie-Antoinette, Princess Juliana International Airport - Flight delayed? Hungover? Nails in a state? Wised-up travellers will make use of this landside health and beauty salon offering massages, facials and hairdressing.
