Tobago / Special Interests / Cruise Ship

By Sara Macefield

Tobago is rather off the beaten track as far as cruising goes. Its southern location, just off the coast of Venezuela, means it is too far to be included in shorter sailings from the Florida ports. Thus it tends to pop up in longer cruises or in those that start at another Caribbean island. It attracts a mix of large and small ships, including those from lines such as P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line.

Ships we recommend are owned by the following companies:

Regent Seven Seas Cruises - Its three ships exude spacious elegance and plush surroundings along with first-rate service and outstanding cuisine.

SeaDream Yacht Club - Its two mega-yachts are full of sophistication and style more reminiscent of an upmarket boutique hotel, with an emphasis on luxury, privacy and intimacy.
