If someone has “a sweet hand” in Trinidad it means they’re highly regarded cooks. Ramin Ganeshram, New York born of Trinidadian extract, is one such lady and the author of Sweet Hands: Island Cooking from T&T, where she describes the local food as organic fusion without contrivance or sprung from the mind of a celebrity chef.

Most locals simply learn from mum over generations, but the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute, runs various courses in training for cooks and food and beverage management.

Carnivals & Festivals | Barbados

Food demo by award winning chef Paul Wedgwood of Wedgwood The Restaurant in Edinburgh. The cookery demo takes place at 11.30am at Relish Epicurea in The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre in Holetown and is followed by lunch and drinks for US$50/Bds$100.
