A wide range of other sports are played in Barbados, from judo to target sports, track & field to basketball. Barbadian teams compete successfully around the Caribbean and the island is quite a popular destination for visiting clubs on tour.

Squash is played at regional level and Barbados welcomes visiting teams - Barbados Squash Club. Hockey attracts teams from all over the world for the annual Banks International Hockey Festival, towards the end of August - Barbados Hockey Federation, c/o Roger Broomes. Football (soccer) is an amateur sport and the Barbados national team is known as The Rockets. The biggest event is the Banks Beer International Masters Football Festival, which is held each year in May - Barbados Football Association and Banks Masters Football. Rugby is normally played at the Garrison Savannah. It attracts visiting teams, especially during the annual Celtic Festival. For Motorsport fans the biggest event of the year is the SOL Rally Barbados, held in May which is organised by the Barbados Rally Club. It attracts international and regional drivers, and huge crowds. A sport which until recently was unique to Barbados is Road Tennis, a cross between table and lawn tennis and originally only played on roads. Known as 'poor man’s tennis', it is now a recognised national sport on the island - Barbados Road Tennis Association.
