St Martin/St Maarten / Golf
Golf-lovers are not well-served on St Martin/St Maarten. There is only one option for a round and that is the rather run-down Mullet Bay Golf Course on St Maarten. This has 18 holes set beside the breezy sands at Mullet Bay Beach but the pleasure of playing by the sea in the Caribbean sunshine is marred by numerous unsightly buildings that were damaged by Hurricane Luis in 1995. For top class facilities take the ferry to Anguilla where there is the Greg Norman-designed Temenos Golf Club.
