St Martin/St Maarten / Horse Racing/Riding
There is no horse racing on St Martin/St Maarten and it is not the most scenic of islands to go trotting through, but there are two venues where you can go for a ride beside and in the sea.
St Martin
Bayside Riding Club, Le Galion Bay - A well-established stables with 30 horses that offers beach rides and lessons. Closed Sunday, cash only.
St Maarten
Seaside Nature Park, Cole Bay - Despite its unglamorous location next to a massive power plant, this 37 acre (15 hectare) park is a free-roaming home for around 50 horses. No experience is required to join a trail and beach ride at the Lucky Stables, which will take children from age six.
