St Eustatius / Real Estate

By Nigel Tisdall

St Eustatius has a small and relaxed property market with just a few real estate agents. There is a lot of unused land and there seems great potential for development in conjunction with the government's wish to attract investment. Interest in the island is growing since it became a Dutch municipality in October 2010, especially from Europe, but this transition has also brought in new taxation rules that potential buyers should take into account.
