Dominica Map

Where is Dominica? Welcome to our interactive map of Dominica, which is the largest and most northerly of the Windward Islands and lies midway between Guadeloupe to the north and Martinique to the south. Our Dominica map will help you to locate it position and features the location of the best beaches and other features of the island.

<

DOMINICA is extremely mountainous and immensely green and fertile, but relatively unknown. The least developed of the Windward Islands, it has a strong local life, with English and French Creole speakers, but is not that easy to reach. A few white sand beaches in the north-east, but mostly grey volcanic sand. Superb nature and good marine life; limited watersports, but excellent rainforest trails and waterfalls. A few inexpensive hotels and inns, restaurants in Roseau, some visible history, last surviving Carib Indians. Ideal for independent travellers wanting to discover an older Caribbean.

Best for: Untamed, undiscovered lush terrain, excellent hiking, outstanding marine life, authentic island charm
